Modern Family Kitchen

Accommodating young children in the kitchen can be quite a challenge.  Most kitchen countertops are simply too high for young children to reach… A clever solution is to install split-level counters that double up as a dining area, making this kitchen 100% family friendly.

The lower level of the counter space gives the younger family members an area where they can safely be involved with food preparation.

Plan your kitchen design around your family…  How you intend to use the space will determine the placement of design elements, work surfaces, appliances, and seating areas.  Thinking out of the box could result in a kitchen that fits in with your lifestyle, instead of you having to adapt to the space.

Stacked appliances allow for creative use of space.  There are myriad options available which can be combined in an array of configurations.

Handleless cabinets are a firm favourite in modern kitchen designs.  Not only do they look great, but they also make for a child-safe space.  Without hardware jutting out on cabinet fronts bumps and bruises to your little darlings are less likely to occur in the kitchen.

Custom drawer inserts are a great solution to keeping drawers organised.  This drawer features a custom-designed spice bottle cradle.

Solid surface counters have a very narrow profile, making them a great choice for a contemporary kitchen.  This incredible material allows for seamless joins anywhere, and can even be thermoformed to create smooth curves, or incorporated sinks.

Mood lighting sets the tone in any room.  Pendant lights suspended over the dining area is a great way to compliment the ambient lighting of the down lights.

A seamless sink effortlessly blends away into the white countertop.  Modern design elements can be custom created with the right materials.  Ask your designer about the available options and their limitations.

Natural lighting is very import, adding cabinets above small windows ensures that the maximum amount of natural light can enter the room.

Add interest to your design with elements that compliment your chosen solid colours.  The storm grey cabinet doors in this kitchen are elevated by the oak accents that are scattered throughout.  Materials such as Egger Feelwood are fantastic for creating interest.

Poorly designed open-plan kitchens can ruin the whole look and feel of a home.  We put a lot of thought into our designs, and work closely with homeowners, to ensure that their new kitchen adds value to their home and integrates seamlessly with the decor in the surrounding spaces.
